From June 20 to 23, the 2007 Asian Commodities Fair in Kazakhstan was successfully held in Adakent Exhibition Centre of Almaty by Trade Development Bureau of Ministry of Commerce of P. R. China, Bureau of Commerce of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, Economic and Trade Commission of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China Europe Association for Economic and Technical Cooperation, the State Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kazakhstan and others. The Fair got great supports from the Commercial and Industrial Bureau of Almaty City, the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s offices of the Embassy of P. R. China in the Central Asian countries, Kazakhstan Light Industry Association, Architectural Association and other organs.
The 2007 Asian Commodities Fair in Kazakhstan included Asian Machinery and Vehicle Fair, Asian Building Materials and Home Decoration Products Fair an Asian Consumer Goods Fair with an exhibition areas of 6,000㎡.
Nearly 200 Chinese enterprises from over 20 mainland provinces, municipals as well as Hong Kang displayed thousands of Chinese well-known quality products.
The 2007 Fair also attracted several thousand of clients from the five Central Asian countries and Russia, Ukraine, India, Pakistan as well as Turkey. The large-scale machinery vehicles, household appliances, furniture, hardwares displayed by the Chinese enterprises were quite popular in Kazakhstan market. In addition, the Central Asian clients also showed great interests in the Chinese small-scale agricultural machineries, textile garments, headwire, footwire and other daily consumptions. According to incomplete statistics, the turnover and deal worth of the Fair reached about 210 million US dollars.
